neon lights
Electrified glass tubes or bulbs that contain neon (a colorless gas that emits a orange-red glow when exposed to electricity) or some other gases that have a different color being emitted (ex: helium (yellow/pink), mercury (blue), carbon dioxide (white)). Neon lights are used for signs, advertisements, artistic purposes, or for entertainment such as a plasma television.
