The Metal Virus is an artificial virus creation of Doctor Eggman/Ivo Robotnik, originally intended to be used to enslave the anthropomorphic animals of Earth. However, it quickly spread and nearly infected every living thing on the planet, only stopped by the timely intervention of Super Sonic and Super Silver.
