garter belt
An undergarment worn around the waist like a belt, with two straps on each side hanging down. These straps are clipped to stockings or thigh highs to keep them from falling down. Garter belts are distinct from garters, which are simply scrunchy-like bands worn around the thighs. If the straps are directly attached to panties, corset, etc. then use garter straps instead.
