chicken
A large, domesticated bird bred and usually used for their eggs or meat. Both roosters and hens have a comb on top of their head and wattles that hang from their throat, roosters and some intersex chickens have wattles and combs that are larger. They have wings, yet cannot fly more than a short distance due to their enlarged size and flight muscles. Chickens are intelligent, highly sociable and have complex emotions.
