Carnivora is an order of placental mammals whose members typically possess predominantly carnivorous diets (the panda being an exception). They have the denonym of a carnivoran, and are grouped into two suborders upon the staple members of the order: the canines and the felines, owing to the caniforms (Caniformia) and the feliforms (Feliformia).
